Time Capsule Provision bas been made for a placed within the monument, to be opened on 1 April, 2045, the one 100th anniversary of our landing on Okinawa. This will afford us a unique opportunity to tell our story to future generations. Bill Pierce is heading the effort on our behalf. As you may know, Bill has been Personally responsible for supplying the lion's share of artifacts for the Museum of the Battle of Okinawa, located at USMC Camp Kinser at Naha. It was principally through his efforts that the Museum has become a viable and highly successful venture. Bill will concentrate on supplying artifacts for the time capsule. Working with Bill is Buzzy Fox, who was long-term Editor of our newsletter, 'The Striking Sixth'. He headed the Garden of Remembrance project in 1987, which was very successful and also contained a time capsule. Buzzy mill be be responsible for collecting all written material (including documents, microfiche and photos). If you can contribute, please contact Bill and/or Buzzy.
